Overwhelmingly, the people of the Middle East want lives of peace and justice. The framework for resolution of differences is increasingly clear, and it is to be hoped that political leaders will take full advantage of this opportunity.

Peace pacts have never worked throughout history. The formation of a society of peoples (such as the EU) of disparate cultures that had been enemies for centuries (such as the EU) can bring peace.

Peace is like love: it can't be taken, it has to be given - and I am the one who has to make the first step. May your visit give people in the Holy Land the courage to give peace to one another.

I cannot express it any better than Buddhist monk Thich Nhat Hanh: "Peace is not simply the absence of violence; it is the cultivation of understanding, insight and compassion combined with action."

Our species as a whole seems to be lacking a common purpose for focus. I sincerely hope we can get past that 0.1% difference between us all to realize how important that 99.9% commonality to be.

Please consider the world our grandchildren will share, and put aside today's political and economic pressures. Our grandchildren must live in the world we leave them. Our problems are irrelevant.

Peace a path, violence, a direction, peace is illusional, it's preferred over violence, which is delusional; peacing pays only much less than warring- no profit, pleasure in destruction or murder :)

Peace and Goodwill are always within reach but genuine reconciliation requires some letting go on both sides. I pray this opening of hearts will happen this year.
