Lutherans in the Holy Land and in the US are working tirelessly for peace for Israelis and Palestinians. This is a calling for all Christians to work energetically for peace and reconciliation.
Here in Virginia, I send my prayers of Love and Peace to ALL people in the Middle East and want you to know that you are not alone in your journey of Hope and Healing.

I remember as a teenager (living in Derry, N.Ireland at the height of the troubles) an adult saying "I doubt I'll see peace here in my lifetime". They did! Have faith in the desire for peace.
The world must look to the youth of, not just Gaza, but everywhere to make a difference. We owe youth so much more than terrorism. They are our future.
In South Africa we learnt that when you cast aside fear, forgive and move forward with courage: anything is possible!
Real peace comes from living harmoniously with one another. The 'reality on the ground' won't go away so isn't it time to work towards a single state solution?
Let us hope that you can inspire the people of Palestine and the people of Israel to rise up and demand peace despite all the obstacles and rhetoric that the politicians rely on to get elected
