Gro Harlem Brundtland and Mary Robinson talk to RTÉ Radio One's Richard Crowley about The Elders' call for Europe to play a stronger role in the Middle East peace process.

Mary Robinson has been in Addis Ababa for the binannual meeting of the Gender is My Agenda Campaign, to meet Sudanese and South Sudanese women leaders, and stress the importance of involving women in the peace process between the two nations.

In a video interview with David Frost for Al Jazeera, Desmond Tutu offers his personal insight into the anti-apartheid struggle in South Africa and his concerns for the recent developments taking place in the country. Later, joined by Jimmy Carter, they discuss The Elders’ involvement in the Middle East and how they as an organisation decide where to focus their efforts.

“We don't give up. We are determined. In this interconnected world, problems in one country – if we don't address them and support them – will spill over into other countries.”

On NPR’s Talk of The Nation, Jimmy Carter and Mary Robinson joined Neal Conan in a radio interview to discuss how and where the 'moral force' of The Elders can be most effective.

During their visit to London last week Desmond Tutu and Mary Robinson were interviewed by CNN's Becky Anderson about their upcoming trip to Sudan & South Sudan, the current situation there, and what they hoped to achieve.

As The Elders celebrate five years since Nelson Mandela founded the organisation, Desmond Tutu and Mary Robinson join Robin Lustig on BBC Radio 4’s The World Tonight to explain how the group was brought together, how they work – and what makes The Elders different.

Speaking recently at the TEDxAmsterdam event, Mabel van Oranje, CEO of The Elders, suggests that "we overestimate what we can do in the short term, but we underestimate what we can do in the long term."
