Marking five years since Nelson Mandela founded The Elders, Intelligence Squared hosted an event with Jimmy Carter, Mary Robinson and Desmond Tutu in conversation with Jon Snow at the Barbican in London on Monday 2 July 2012. Watch the video of the evening's event here. 

 

Intelligence Squared presents: The Elders

July 2012 marks five years since Nelson Mandela launched The Elders. On Monday 2 July, Intelligence Squared  hosted three Elders – Jimmy Carter, Mary Robinson and Desmond Tutu – in conversation with Channel 4 News presenter Jon Snow at the Barbican Centre in London.

Richard Branson and Peter Gabriel, whose original vision of The Elders was translated into reality by Nelson Mandela, made a special guest appearance.
